Princess Cruises Crown Princess Bruges & Guernsey Mini Cruise – 7th October 2020
Jump on this rare chance to enjoy a mini cruise on a Princess Cruises ship from the UK.
Crown Princess will sail on a three-night cruise from Southampton to Bruges and Guernsey in early October 2020.
About this cruise
Weighing in on the larger side of the mid-sized cruise ship category, Crown Princess is big but not enormous, making it ideal for a first-time cruise. If you are a seasoned sailor who has tried lines like Royal Caribbean, P&O Cruises, and Holland America, this would be a great opportunity to see how Princess Cruises compares.
The cruise begins mid-week on a Wednesday, returning early on Sunday morning. You will board Crown Princess in Southampton and sail overnight to Zeebrugge. From here you can choose to visit the medieval city of Bruges or venture further into the capital, Brussels. You'll find a great range of art galleries, museums, and architecture in both, as well as Belgian favourites of beer, waffles, and delicious Belgian chocolate on tap.
You'll have a day at sea as you sail along the English Channel between Belgium and Guernsey. This is your chance to see what the ship is really like, so use the opportunity wisely to see if a longer cruise holiday would be something you'd enjoy. It might be too cool to enjoy a lazy day by the pool in your bikini, but the weather in Western Europe is becoming ever-more unpredictable, so who knows? There's always the spa instead. The ship's crew will be running activities throughout the day to keep you busy.
The following morning will see you arrive just outside St Peter Port, where the ship will anchor offshore. Tender boats will ferry passengers back and forth from the picturesque island.
In the evening, the ship will start its journey back to Southampton so you will want to make the most of being on Sapphire Princess on your final night.

So you know, the map above shows point-to-point lines which may cross land. Don't worry, your cruise ship will not sprout legs and run across dry land. Instead it's water all the way! Mapping is approximate, and the scheduled times are estimates. Your trip is subject to change as, occasionally, operators have to alter itineraries due to bad weather or unforeseen events.
On Thursday 20th February 2020, I found a starting price from £399 per person based on two sharing the cheapest cabin (usually this is an inside cabin). 13 days prior it started from £429 per person, a saving of £30 per person.
What's that per night?
Want to compare this short break to a hotel stay? A starting price of 'from £399 per person' equates to 'from £99.75 per person per night'.
Here's a trend line showing the movement of the lead-in price for this cruise. I aim to check prices daily and this graph shows only those readings. I love geeky stuff like this and thought it might be handy when planning when to book your next cruise.
In my last 18 checks, the cheapest I have seen this cruise start at is from £349 per person, and the highest I've seen it go is from £499 per person.
Are there any extras?
This price normally includes some meals but excludes drinks, gratuities, optional shore excursions, and any applicable flights and transfers (if needed and if excluded). If you want a cabin or suite with a view, these come at a premium (if available).
Cruise prices are based on supply and demand so the more spare cabins there are closer to the sail date, the cheaper the prices often become. After all, no cruise line likes sailing with empty cabins and this cruise sails in 6 months.
I regularly check for price changes by hand, but as they can occur rapidly, please use the link below to get the latest prices.
Remember, prices were correct when I last checked, but may have since changed. Prices are usually based on two adults sharing the cheapest available cabin.
